A dated kitchen in Elmhurst was transformed into a bright, functional, and timeless space with custom cabinetry, a large quartz island, and modern finishes designed for everyday living and entertaining.
This kitchen remodel focused on improving layout, storage, and flow while giving the home a fresh, updated look. The original kitchen felt closed off and relied heavily on darker wood cabinetry, which made the space feel smaller and less connected to the rest of the home. By redesigning the layout and opening sightlines, the new kitchen now feels spacious, inviting, and better suited for both daily use and hosting guests.
Custom white cabinetry was installed throughout to maximize storage and create a clean, cohesive appearance. A large island with seating became the centerpiece of the space, offering additional prep area, casual dining, and built-in appliances. Quartz countertops were selected for their durability and low maintenance, while the backsplash and lighting choices added subtle texture and warmth without overpowering the design.
Project highlights and completed work:
- Full kitchen layout redesign to improve flow and functionality
- Custom white shaker-style cabinetry with crown molding
- Tall pantry cabinets for added storage and organization
- Large kitchen island with seating and integrated appliances
- Quartz countertops throughout for durability and easy care
- Built-in beverage refrigerator and storage cabinetry
- Updated backsplash with a clean, modern pattern
- New pendant and recessed lighting for improved brightness
- Stainless steel appliance integration
- Coordinated flooring to connect the kitchen with adjacent spaces
Careful attention was given to proportions, finishes, and craftsmanship to ensure the kitchen feels balanced and timeless. The combination of light cabinetry, warm flooring, and thoughtful lighting creates a space that feels both modern and comfortable. The end result is a kitchen that not only looks beautiful but also supports how the homeowners use their space every day.
